Rotary Tables – Metrology
A high precision range designed to offer great versatility for metrology and precision testing. Range includes mechanical and air bearings, full positioning and indexing tables, manual or NC controlled with positional accuracies to +/-0.2 arc seconds.
AB Series – Air Bearing Spin Tables
The AB Series tables utilise air lubricated hydrostatic bearings designed to provide very high radial and axial stiffness. This type of bearing offers significant advantages over conventional rolling element bearings permitting operation with minimal drag vibration and mechanical noise. The design principle of these bearings ensure axial laminar flow between shaft and housing compared with conventional orifice entry arrangements thereby ensuring exceptionally good motion geometry. AP Series – Direct Drive Air Bearing Rotary Tables
The AP Series tables utilise the same air lubricated hydrostatic bearings as the AB series combined with a direct drive motor and high accuracy angular encoder. The encoder couples directly to the motor control system, which has its own high-resolution interpolator. The system ensures high motor stiffness, precise positioning and repeatability. V Series – Air Film Rotary Tables
The V Series rotary table combines a pre-loaded double row journal bearing with a high load capacity thin film air thrust bearing. The thrust bearing uses a thin layer of air trapped between the underside of the table top and the top of the base assembly. The thrust bearing is supplied using a series of orifice plugs machined into the table base. This combination of bearings is ideal for heavy centred loads. Continue reading
W Series – Mechanical Spin Tables
The W Series rotary table combines a high precision, high load capacity roller thrust bearing resulting in excellent rotational characteristics with a pre-loaded; double row journal bearing to eliminate radial movement in the table’s axis.
