Geared Goniometers

Working in close partnership with FMB Oxford, RPI has developed Goniometers for use in synchrotrons, which incorperate high precision worm and wheel gearing to move the Bragg axis. This unit delivers state-of-the-art performance, high sensitivity, resolution and repeatability.
Guaranteed Performance Parameters
- Resolution: <0.04” (0.18 μrad).
- Repeatability: <0.1” (0.45 μrad).
- Velocity Range: 0.000 1°/sec – 1°/sec.
- Velocity Accuracy: 1.5% (20” at 0.5°/s).
- Settling Time: 150ms from 0.5°/s.
